SHC Counseling Services

Counseling services at Spring Hill College aims to promote the campus values through provision of a confidential space that allows students to process their concerns while furthering their education. We uphold the belief in cura personalis of caring for the whole person and service to others. We are committed to ensuring that our students' mental health needs are cared for rapidly and appropriately. Counseling services advocates for our students through use of brief, solution focused therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, and referrals.

 

Counselors are here to help students work on their mental health for a healthier life. 

There is no charge for counseling services in our office to SHC students. You can contact our office at 251-380-2271 or Counseling@shc.edu for more information or to make an appointment.

  • Family matters
  • Alcohol or other drug use
  • Self esteem
  • Academic performance
  • Eating disorders
  • Sexuality
  • Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Crisis intervention

Hours and Location on Campus

The Counseling Services office is located at the side entrance of Toolen Hall. 
 
Office hours are 8:30am - 12pm and 1pm - 4:30pm.
 
Counseling services available 10:00am - 3:00pm.
 
- 9:00am appointment slots are for Crisis Appointments only
 
 
We ask that you schedule appointments in advance, when possible.
 
Beginning Fall 2023, you may request an appointment and complete your intake paperwork at https://emr-mob-shc-01.shc.edu/TitaniumWeb/.
